Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Understand Your Retirement ("UYR"), Atlas, or any related website, account, document-analysis, forecast, scenario, or retirement-intelligence feature, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Educational service only

UYR and Atlas provide educational information, document organization, technology-assisted analysis, retirement illustrations, and planning tools. They do not provide individualized legal, tax, investment, insurance, healthcare, estate-planning, pension, Social Security, or other professional advice.

Outputs may be incomplete, based on assumptions, or affected by missing, outdated, incorrect, or ambiguous information. You should independently verify important facts and consult an appropriate qualified professional before making consequential financial or legal decisions.

3. No fiduciary relationship created by platform use

Your use of UYR or Atlas by itself does not create an investment-adviser, attorney-client, tax-adviser, insurance-agent, healthcare-provider, fiduciary, or other professional-client relationship.

If UYR offers an optional request for review by a qualified professional, any separate professional relationship, scope of services, obligations, fees, and disclosures will be governed by the applicable agreement with that professional or firm.

4. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a saved account or subscribe to Full Access. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication credentials, and promptly notifying UYR if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Guest access and complimentary-use limits

UYR may permit a limited complimentary guest analysis without requiring an account before the analysis begins. Complimentary access is subject to the limits shown in the product at the time of use.

UYR may use device, browser, session, duplicate-document, rate-limit, and similar safeguards to enforce complimentary-use limits and prevent abuse. Attempts to evade usage limits, impersonate another user, automate abuse, or interfere with those safeguards are prohibited.

6. Your documents and information

You retain your rights in documents and information you upload or enter. You grant UYR the limited rights necessary to store, transmit, process, analyze, organize, and display that information for the purpose of providing the service you request.

You represent that you have the right to upload and use the information you provide and that doing so does not violate another person's rights, confidentiality obligations, or applicable law.

7. Artificial-intelligence outputs

Some UYR features use artificial-intelligence systems to classify documents, extract information, summarize content, identify questions, compare scenarios, and generate educational explanations.

AI-generated outputs can be incorrect, incomplete, inconsistent, or misleading. You should not rely on an AI output as the sole basis for an important financial, legal, tax, insurance, healthcare, or retirement decision.

8. Forecasts, scores, comparisons, and scenarios

Forecasts, scores, rankings, scenario comparisons, income-gap estimates, retirement illustrations, and other modeled outputs are educational estimates. They are not guarantees of future results, investment performance, retirement success, tax outcomes, benefit eligibility, or financial security.

Actual outcomes may differ materially because of market returns, inflation, taxes, fees, spending, longevity, employment, health, insurance coverage, law changes, benefit rules, document accuracy, timing, and other factors.

9. Subscriptions and billing

Paid Full Access is offered at the price displayed at checkout. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel through the supported account or billing controls.

Canceling stops future renewal charges but does not necessarily create a refund for a period already paid, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.

10. Acceptable use

You may not:

• use UYR for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or data;
• upload malicious code, malware, or intentionally harmful files;
• probe, bypass, or interfere with security or access controls;
• scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service except as permitted by law;
• misrepresent UYR outputs as professional advice, guarantees, or official determinations;
• use the service in a way that infringes the rights of others.

11. Service availability and changes

UYR may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, limits, integrations, pricing, or portions of the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

12. Third-party services

UYR relies on third-party providers for services such as hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, payment processing, email, file storage, and artificial-intelligence processing. Your use of certain third-party functionality may also be subject to the applicable provider's terms and policies.

13. Intellectual property

The UYR platform, Atlas branding, software, interface, original content, design, and related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to UYR and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of UYR intellectual property to you.

14. Suspension or termination

UYR may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, address suspected fraud or abuse, comply with law, respond to security risks, or protect the integrity of the service.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UYR is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UYR and its owners, affiliates, service providers, personnel, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on educational outputs, loss of data, interruption of service, or decisions made using the platform.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform, legal requirements, pricing, or business practices change. The effective date shown above will be updated when revised Terms are posted.
